Update - 6th July 2008

The 'Hope Centre Burundi' project started of with a generous donation of £30,000. This was before the full cost for building the six homes was fully calculated. We expect the orphanage costs to be approximately £60,000 in total and then when these homes are built we hope to raise the funds to continue with the second main phase of building the Vocational School & Aids Clinic. Since returning from Africa in March all the various donations to the Hope Centre Burundi project amount to an approximate value of £15,000. This is amazing and so very encouraging for all that are involved in this project, however we will still need to raise another £15,000 or so to complete the first phase of the project. This means that you have an opportunity to get on board, use your imagination and find different ways to raise the funds required to complete the project.

From the funds available we have purchased most of the materials and tools in the UK that are required on the project and have packed these into the container. If you click on the images at the top of the page these will link you to larger images showing all the materials being loaded into the container but we will still have materials that will need to be purchased once we are in Burundi. With this in mind we will still leave the list below for you to fund specific items. Alternatively you can just click the 'Donate' buttons at the top of each page and donate any amount that you choose.

Thank you all once again for your support be it financially or materially or giving of your time to help in what ever way that you can and there have been very many of you who have done this.
